Apple Announces 11th-Generation iPad with Upgraded Chip and Storage

Apple has introduced the 11th-generation base-model iPad, the first update in over two years. The new iPad features an upgraded A16 chip and doubles the starting storage to 128GB. Priced at $349, it will be available from March 12th in a range of colors, including blue, pink, yellow, and silver. This update aligns with Apple’s recent strategy of enhancing its devices to support Apple Intelligence, often with incremental improvements like chip upgrades. The previous model, launched in 2022, had created some confusion due to its higher price of $449 compared to the older 9th-gen model, which remained available at $329. Despite the complexity of Apple’s iPad lineup, the new base model’s upgrades make it a solid choice for most users seeking a reliable and affordable tablet.
