Infinix Unveils Solar-Powered Charging Concepts at MWC 2025

Infinix, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has showcased innovative concepts at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, focusing on sustainable energy solutions. The company introduced SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology, which utilizes perovskite solar cells to harness ambient light for charging smartphones. This technology is integrated into both a phone with a built-in solar panel on its back and a solar charging phone case. The case is designed to work with a prototype phone featuring small contacts for power transfer, allowing users to switch between this case and a standard one as needed. The technology is capable of charging devices at up to 2W, making it suitable for extending battery life when not in active use. Infinix also highlighted the potential of this technology for emergency situations, such as power outages. Additionally, the company showcased E-Color Shift 2.0, an AI-powered customization feature that dynamically adjusts smartphone aesthetics based on user preferences and surroundings.
