Cadillac Unveils Escalade IQL: The Longest Electric SUV with Expanded Cargo and Legroom

Cadillac has introduced the Escalade IQL, an extended version of its electric Escalade IQ, designed to provide more cargo space and increased comfort for third-row passengers. At 228.5 inches in length, it surpasses both its gas-powered counterpart, the Escalade ESV, and other major electric SUVs like the GMC Hummer EV SUV and Rivian R1S. The IQL features a boxier design with a restructured rear end, offering a more practical luggage storage solution. Passengers in the third row gain an additional four inches of legroom and an inch of headroom, enhancing overall comfort. Cargo space behind the third row is 24.2 cubic feet, expanding to 75.4 cubic feet when folded, with an additional 12.2 cubic feet in the front trunk (frunk). The vehicle retains the 205kWh battery pack and 460-mile range of the standard IQ, with fast-charging capabilities that add up to 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Production of the Escalade IQL is set to begin in mid-2025 at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Detroit.
